Ask to end your lease early
A proposal that makes it easy for your landlord to say yes, with options that limit what you owe.
Do this either way (free)
- Read your lease for an early-termination or subletting clause first.
- Ask early: the more notice, the easier it is to re-rent.
- Offer something: help finding a replacement, a fee, or flexibility on dates.
- Get any agreement in writing, signed by both of you.
